A decisive and results-oriented Art Director for over 10 years of experience. Based in New York and born in Indonesia to Chinese Indonesian parents, Effendy Wijaya is a graduate of School of Visual Arts in New York. At the beginning of his career, Effendy was an intern in branding design at Perry Ellis International, followed by designer position at Bumble and bumble. In 2002, he was hired by his great mentor, Carin Goldberg, at Time Inc. Strategic Communications where he gained his initial publication design experience in trade magazines such as Citigroup, Cancer & You, Nestlé, Ford, and Lincoln Mercury. He then went on to be Associate Art Director at the launch of Hallmark Magazine, People Magazine Special Issues and the premiere monthly launch of People StyleWatch. He has also worked as Art Director at Condé Nast Content Development Group and as Senior Art Director/Creative Consultant at Fullbeauty Brands. His work has been recognized by the Society of Publication Design, Ozzie Award, Luce Award, Graphis and Type Directors Club.
