8tracks ranks #3 in the US among internet radio listeners aged 18-34 and reaches 5m MAU who stream 20-30m hours/month. Two-thirds of the music streamed on 8tracks hails from Independent artists and labels, and two-thirds of music streamed on 8tracks is delivered to iOS and Android devices. Supported primarily by advertising sales, the business has operated at or near profitability for most of its history. DJs on 8tracks make a mix in order to share it; listeners share a mix they like because recipients will hear the same set of tracks. We make it easy to share mixes; nearly 1/3 of traffic comes from social sources, with Tumblr the single biggest driver of referral traffic.

Over the last year, mobile streaming as a proportion of total listener hours has grown from 1/3 to 2/3, led by iOS, now our largest platform. 8tracks is the #3 internet radio network in the iTunes App Store (behind only Pandora and Clear Channel's iHeartRadio).
